Good afternoon. Many of you did not make it to the Preseason Meeting on Sunday April 23rd at Deerfield CC. There are some changes that have been made for this year that I need to pass on to everyone.
1. We are no longer collecting fees prior to outings. You will pay each course directly. This will allow those who like to pay by Credit/Debit card to do so. The only exception may be Buckhannon CC who are closed on Monday's when we play. We may have to collect our fees there. Please plan to pay either cash or check written to Buckhannon CC on those outings.
2. You can now bring your own team to all outings this year. If you can put together a team of 3 or 4 that will be fine. A team of 3 may have 1 other player placed with them. If 2 players plan to play together we will either draw for teams for them or place them with 1 or 2 other players.
3. You can now choose the tees you play from based on your ability. The only time we will direct what tee to play from will be on a long drive hole or closest to the pin hole.
4. We are no longer collecting $5 per player for the CGA. We will place a donation jar at each outing. Give as the Lord leads you.
5. We no longer require a minimum of 6 to hold an outing. We can play with any number of participants. Outings that require a prior signup need to have around 10 for us to continue with outing. That is not written in stone but is a good number to go by so we have a decent number when traveling farther distances to play.
6. If you have not joined our CGA Association the dues are such for 2017:
Renew single $15, Renew couple $25, new member single $25, new couple $40
Now a new topic to pass on to you. We are scheduled to play at Alpine Lake on Thursday August 3rd and Preston CC on Friday August 4th. If you want to stay the night at Alpine Lake and play both outings please plan to make your own reservations.
We are also scheduled to play at Capon Springs in the eastern panhandle on a Saturday in September. If you wish to stay 1 or 2 nights I have the prices for that and will pass them out to everyone soon. Please check out their website to see what they offer for a weekend getaway for you or your family.
