CGA News and Notes-Saturday May 14, 2016
Good morning. May God richly bless each and everyone of you this day.
The remaining part of our golf schedule for May is as follows:
Monday May 23rd at Buckhannon CC at 5pm-Deadline to enter is this Friday May 20th-We currently have the following entered:

Thursday May 26 at Riverbend at 5pm.
At the start of June we have the Relay for Life Tournament that CGA member Clay Persinger is having. It is scheduled for Saturday June 4th at Buckhannon CC (18 holes) with golf starting at 9am. You should plan to arrive around 8:30am. The cost is $50 per person which includes lunch. Myself, Bob Kincaid, Harry Grose and possibly Ron Lamb are entering a team. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society. Contact Clay for futher info and let me know as well if you would if you plan to play. If we get at least 6 CGA members to take part we will count this as one of our outings.
Our first major outing of the year is Saturday June 11th at the Highlands Golf Club near Franklin. We will begin registration at 11am and we will tee off around noon. The deadline to enter is Friday June 3rd. Please try to put together your own foursome so we can have a good turnout for this event.

CGA Polish Pines-Keyser-CANCELLED
Good evening. Due to the 80% chance of thunderstorms for Keyser tomorrow afternoon and a 2 hour drive up to Keyser we have decided to cancel tomorrows outing. We will reschedule it for a later date. Please pass this info on to anyone you were planning to ride with.
Our next outing is Monday May 23rd at Buckhannon CC at 5pm. The deadline to enter is next Friday May 20th. At this time we have 9 scheduled to play:

CGA Polish Pines-update
I am tracking the weather forecast for tomorrow at Keyser. As of 1pm on Friday they have dropped the chance of thunderstorms from 80% to 50%. I have spoken with the lady at Polish Pines and told her that I would either call her late this evening or early tomorrow morning if we decide to cancel out. Please keep track of emails as the day goes by to look for updates. We currently have 16 scheduled to play. If any of you have changed your minds please let me know ASAP. This could influence my decision if our number of players drops.

CGA Riverbend results-Thursday May 12, 2016
Good evening. We had great weather for this evening's outing at Riverbend. The turnout was low today with only 7 participants. This was a surprise due to the great weather. We had 2 new participants today and we would like to welcome Mike and Paula Currence from Mill Creek to the CGA. We hope you will join us for future outings. Here are the results from today:

Our next outing is Saturday at Polish Pines in Keyser WV. We will start registration at 11am and plan to tee around noon. The cost is $30 per player payable to the CGA by cash or check. The weather is questionable for Saturday. Clay and I will keep a watch on the forecast during the day tomorrow and if we decide to cancel I will send out an email between 9pm and 10 pm tomorrow evening at the latest. We have 16 expected to play on Saturday.

Good Saturday to all of you. First, I want to wish a happy Mother's day to all of our mothers in the CGA. Hope your day is wonderful tomorrow. Thanks for all you do for the CGA.
Our next outing is this Thursday May 12th at Riverbend. We will begin registration at 5pm. Hope you can get out and play with us.
Next Saturday we play at Polish Pines in Keyser WV. We will start registration at 11am. The cost is $30 per player payable by cash or check to the CGA. We have 4 teams already set with Larry Ransinger trying to put a team together. We have:

CGA News and Notes-Wednesday May 11, 2016
Good morning. We are scheduled to play tomorrow Thursday May 12th at Riverbend at 5pm. We also are scheduled to play at Keyser (Polish Pines) this Saturday May 14th at 11am (registration). Both days the weather calls for thunderstorms. Please check your emails tomorrow around 4pm in case of cancellation. If I do not send out an email, then you decide for yourself whether to come to Riverbend or not.
For Saturday's outing I will either send out an email Friday evening or at the latest Saturday by 8am. If there is no email sent then I have left for Keyser to attempt to play.

We play at Riverbend this Thursday May 12th with registration starting at 5pm. Hope you can join us.
We also play at Polish Pines in Keyser this Saturday May 14th with registration starting at 11am. We will hold devotions around 11:25-11:30 with a noon tee off. The cost is $30 per player payable by cash or check to the CGA. At this time we have 16 scheduled to play.

CGA Poll
Good day friends. I need your input on the 2nd and last outing at Stonewall in August. This past Sunday we played the short course for $35 and had 10 players take part. In August we are scheduled to play the regular course for $55. What is your thought about this outing? Will you play it for $55 or would you play the short course for $35 or do we cancel it and replace it with another course? Let me know.
I will take comments and suggestions until Friday May 20th and then make a decision of what to do.

Hi everyone on this Wednesday. Hope your day is going well. The last day to signup for the outing at Keyser on May 14th is this Friday May 6th. We currently have 16 entered.

Our next outing at Buckhannon CC is Monday May 23rd. So far we have 5 signed up to play. The deadline is Friday May 20th.
One month from today on Saturday June 4th, Clay Persinger is holding a Relay for Life tournament at Buckhannon CC. The cost is $50 per person including lunch and all proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society. I hope you will consider playing or putting a team together yourself. If we get at least 6 CGA members to participate then it will also count as one of our outings. Any questions please contact Clay. If you plan to play please let me know as well to see if we can get at least 6 participants from the CGA.
