CGA Bel Meadows results-Saturday August 6, 2016
Good evening. We had 12 take part in today's outing at Bel Meadows. We played 20 holes to honor the 20th anniversary of the CGA. After play 2 holes were dropped to determine the final scores. Here they are:

The Pregnancy Center tournament is Saturday August 20th at Riverbend with registration starting at 9am. The cost is $50 per person which includes lunch. Contact Bob Kincaid for further info. If 6 or more members take part this will also be a CGA outing as well.
We have outings on Monday August 29th at Buckhannon CC at 5pm and on Labor Day Monday September 5th at Keyser WV at 11am. The deadline for Buckhannon CC will be Wednesday August 24th and for Keyser will be Monday August 29th. Here are who I have scheduled so far:

CGA Riverbend results-Thursday August 4, 2016
Good evening. We had 9 players take part in the Olympic theme outing. We had 3 gold holes, 3 silver holes and 3 bronze holes. The gold holes were worth equal value to the score on the hole, the silver holes were worth double the score and the bronze were worth triple the score on the hole. The lowest total points won the outing. Here are the scores:

CGA News and Notes-Wednesday August 3, 2016
Good day Christian brothers and sisters.
We play at Riverbend tomorrow evening at 5pm. This outings theme is the return of golf to the Olympic games. We will play a point system outing based on 3 gold holes, 3 silver holes and 3 bronze holes. Hope you can make it. If any questions about the weather check your emails around 4pm before you head towards Riverbend.
Also, we play at Bel Meadows on Saturday at 2pm. We currently have 8 players scheduled to participate. Also, check your emails in case of cancellation due to the weather on Saturday. I will try to send out an email by 12:30pm if the outing is cancelled. I am leaving for Bel Meadows around 1pm.

CGA News and Notes-Monday August 1, 2016
Good day on this first day of August.
We have 2 outings this week. On Thursday we play at Riverbend at 5pm. This outing is to celebrate the return of golf to the Olympics. So wear your red, white and blue that you have and we will play a point system outing using 3 gold holes, 3 silver holes and 3 bronze holes. Hope you can join us.
On Saturday we play at Bel Meadows. Currently, we have 9 players signed up to play. We will play a 20 hole outing to celebrate the 20th anniversary month of the CGA ministry. Please arrive at 2pm for registration and devotions and we will tee off around 3pm. The cost is $40 per player payable to the CGA by cash or check.
Mark your calendars for Thursday August 18th at Riverbend as we play our annual Par 3 event. We will give away $250 worth of gift cards to various restaurants for the closest to the pin winners.
Contact Bob Kincaid at [email protected] to enter or get more information concerning the Pregnancy Center tournament on Saturday August 20th at Riverbend. The cost is $50 per person which includes lunch and a chance to win several prizes.

Good morning to all of you. As the calendar nears a turn to August on Monday, I would like to update you on our CGA chapters schedule through Labor Day Monday.
August is the 20th anniversary month of the CGA and I hope you will come out and join us as we celebrate this wonderful ministry. Here is the schedule for this month all the way to the Labor Day outing at Keyser.
Thursday August 4th at Riverbend-5pm-Olympic outing-there will be 3 gold holes, 3 silver holes and 3 bronze holes. As golf returns to the Olympic games we will celebrate this with a point system outing that will be fun and exciting to play. Hope you can join us.
Saturday August 6th at Bel Meadows-2pm-20 hole outing to celebrate the 20th anniversary-We will drop 2 holes from the scores following play-Cost is $40 per player. We have the following sheduled to play:

Monday August 29th at Buckhannon CC-5pm-Last outing at BCC this year. So far I have Larry Wamsley and Lynn Rexroad signed up. The deadline is Wednesday August 24th to enter. Any ideas for this outing would be appreciated.
Monday September 5th (Labor Day) at Polish Pines in Keyser WV-this will now be our 3rd major tourney of the year-11am registration time-noon tee-$40 per player includes dinner after golf-Put your teams together and lets have a good turnout.
One final announcement for today. Tomorrow evening Sunday July 31st at 6pm, Kelly Coberly will be in concert at the Hampton UM Church. Come and join us for a wonderful evening of gospel music and Praise for the Lord.

CGA Glade Springs-CANCELLED
Good day. Due to the weather forecast for the Beckley/Daniels area for tomorrow afternoon for thunderstorms I have decided to cancel the outing. It will not be rescheduled. Please confirm that you have this message by sending me an email back. It is way too far to drive and not get to play.

CGA Glade update
Dear friends. The weather forecast for tomorrow is not very promising for the Beckley area. There is a 80% chance of thunderstorms. The hourly forecast shows anywhere from a 65% to a 80% chance all afternoon. I will let you know by this evening if plans change. I will be consulting Ron Lamb and Clay Persinger for their input in the decision. Please check your email later today for a decision. It is a long drive to make and not get to play.

CGA Buckhannon CC results-Monday July 25, 2016
The storms went on both sides of us, but at 5:30 the sun came out and we had a dozen participants take part in the outing. Here are the scores for the 3 teams:

The cost is $45 per player payable by cash or check to the CGA. I will keep an eye on the weather forecast for Beckley and let you know of any changes to the plans by Wednesday evening.
A couple of thoughts about the outings in August (20th anniversary of the CGA). We have the following outings:

Good evening to all of you. We play at Buckhannon CC tomorrow evening Monday July 25th at 5pm. We currently have 15 signed up to play. If the weather is questionable and I feel we should cancel ahead of time I will send out an email by 4:30pm. If not make up your own mind about attending.
The outing on Thursday at Glade is full at this time. Please plan to arrive by 2pm.
Our outing at Bel Meadows on Saturday August 6 has 5 players at this time. We need at least 3 more by this Saturday or we will have to cancel it.

This outing we will start registration at 2pm and tee off around 3pm and the cost is $40 per player for this 20 hole outing in celebration of the 20th year of the CGA.
